The Grandparent Dilemma

Grandparents are the best, sometimes. But no, in all seriousness, my kids have amazing grandparents and they help us so much, especially with picking up the kids from school.

Have times really changed?

Core values remain the same - we all want our kids to be happy, healthy and safe. And let's face it, my parents are as addicted to their smartphones as I am to mine. They have figured out how to use the GPS for when they get lost, how to shop online, play solitaire and watch videos on YouTube (that they send to me all the time). I have no doubt my parents can figure out how to use an app to pickup my kids, the same as I can.

How does it work?

Once it's setup, all the grandparents need to do is open the app on their phone:

  • Teachers scan the pickup app

  • The teacher gets an approval popup on their screen with the kids name and photo

  • The parent gets a notification saying their child was picked up!

As a parent, this sounds perfect to me. It's so reassuring to get that text and know the pickup is done and my child is on to their next adventure.

What do you think, can they do it? I think so.
